I'm a licensed professional counselor with over 12 years of experience helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life's most challenging moments. My path to this work was deeply personal—witnessing the transformative power of therapy in my own life inspired me to dedicate my career to supporting others.
I earned my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Washington and my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Evergreen State College. Since then, I've completed additional training in trauma-informed therapy, couples counseling, and mindfulness-based interventions.
What drives my work is simple: I believe that every person deserves to feel understood, supported, and empowered to create meaningful change in their life. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, working through a relationship challenge, or seeking personal growth, I'm honored to be part of your journey.
I'm committed to staying at the forefront of mental health practice. I complete 40+ hours of continuing education annually in areas like trauma treatment, cultural competency, neurobiology of healing, and emerging therapeutic approaches.
I've done extensive personal therapy and continue to engage in my own mental health work. I meditate daily, journal regularly, and navigate my own life challenges. This keeps me humble, empathetic, and grounded in the reality that healing is a lifelong practice.
I work with individuals from all backgrounds and identities. I'm committed to culturally-sensitive, affirming care for LGBTQ+, BIPOC, and other marginalized communities. If I don't have expertise in an area relevant to your identity or experience, I'll either develop it or connect you with someone who has.
Therapy shouldn't be a luxury only some can afford. I accept most insurance plans and offer a sliding scale for uninsured clients. I offer both in-person and online sessions to increase accessibility.
Outside of my practice, I love hiking in the Pacific Northwest, spending time with my rescue dog, reading psychology and philosophy, and cooking for friends and family. I believe that therapists who live full, joyful lives are better equipped to support their clients. Your wellbeing matters to me, and I bring my whole self to our work together.
